Question Posted Thursday July 12 2007, 12:08 am

I recently purchased the Sims 2 for my Mac Book...and I was just wondering...

do games, in general, run faster on Macs?

Thanks =]

It seems the other person that answered this was banned(and so I can't see their answer), so I'm sorry if I repeat what they said.

Games do usually run faster on Macs because they are based on the Unix kernel, which has better memory management than the NT(windows) kernel. A Mac with 512MB will be faster than a PC with 512MB, but not faster than a PC with 1GB. Macs usually come with low amounts of RAM, so this could slow you down compared to a PC.
