Palatal Expander

Question Posted Thursday July 5 2007, 11:46 am

I had a palatal expander for about 3 and a half months and on Tuesday, I am getting it off and the braces on. I wanted to know if anyone ever had the palatal expander taken off. Did it hurt? How did they get the cement off?

Oh jeez, those palatal expanders are a PAIN.
But it doesn't exactly hurt to get it taken off, they just slide it off the teeth.
You might feel a little pressure, but it's definitely tolerable.

You have nothing to worry about! :]
But it's gonna feel so weird being able to feel the top of your mouth again!
