Getting in shape

Question Posted Wednesday July 4 2007, 7:09 pm

Okay Field hockey starts in like 2 weeks. Im really not good at running so i ran yesterday and today to try to get back into shape. The problem is,I just cant do it. I have this sharp pain in my chest and i cant breath. Yes i have astma but my inhaler doesnt work. Im going to continue to run tomorrow and friday but saturday i have a cookout and sunday im going away until next monday , and than that following tuesday i have to go to practice. I dont know what to do. Im scared im going to fall behind in running. Any advice such as breathing techinuqes or what helps you run better. Thanks in advance :]

as for the chest pain and breathing, thats just a sign of being outta shape--i always get that when i am. I would recomend that you keep running every day up until pratice so during it you dont hurt...

i found this, im not sure if it will help but its worth a shot: [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)
