where can i learn the drums on my own? like what books and dvds would be helpful? or should i get an instructor? i am a beginner and cannot really read music so if anyone can help me with that too that would be great.

alright well im notsure where you can get help learning how to play but my music teacher was fabulous& he taught us alot of tricks:
SPACES/face
lines/ egbdf
& he had this story: there was a guy in his calss that was "challenged" and he asked if it was a word and Mr T said it was and he pronounced it (IG UH BUH DIFF) and well its more detailed but i cant remember: but it helped me alott!
