old computer

Question Posted Tuesday July 3 2007, 1:00 pm

So I bought an old computer at a garage sale. It has windows 98 plus on it. Ive been trying to get it up and running. So far, it boots into safe mode perfectly fine. However, if I try to start it up regularly, during the windows loading screen, it will blink, and then stop loading. The CD drive doesn't work, and since its in safe mode, I wouldn't have access to put in a flash drive or the internet, so any fix would have to fit on a floppy. Anyone have any idea what it could be?

See what things are highlighted there and attempt to fix it.

If all else fails, reformat and reinstall, it'll probably be less work in the long run, especially if you dont know how to fix it yourself.
