Are Zoo York and Enjoi good brand skateboards? I'm new to this and i don't want to have a crappy one. What are other good brands (besides Zero)?

Honestly, the brand doesn't matter at all. All a skateboard is is wood and metal. I used to work at a skate shop and I asked the guy who put the skateboards together what brand was the best and he told me what I just told you. When you buy a skateboard you're pretty much just paying for the label. Just go to your local shop and ask for a plain deck. If you want the label then you can go with Shorty's, Element, BAM, Flip, or Tony Hawk skateboards.

yes, they are both excellent brand skateboards. most name brand skate companies out there right now are pretty good, you just have to experiment and find which skate company you like the best. however, if you choose a board from any of the above three, you will have a good board.
