hey, i'm also on the colorguard where i live. although, i've never heard of a continual pop spin. we do things such as parade rest, present arms, post, carry colors, etc. but i know that in order to spin, you have to have really good forearm and bicep muscles. you should work out those parts of your body. also, keep your composure. don't be all over the place. I'm not really sure what a continual pop spin is, but if it's like normal spinning, you should make sure you have all that down. Also, you shouldnt really practice on something lighter than the rifle you're using. it'd feel weird when you actually use the rifle. Don't be afraid of hitting yourself, i used to be. Just trust yourself and make sure you hold the rifle how you've been taught. i hope i helped.
