ive had my period since i was 12 and its been a abnormal period.. but everyones is kinda when they just get it. so it was normal for me. but last time i got it was march. and i had sex in march but i had it after and i can't be pregnant because im in the best shape ever and im loosing weight. and ever since marchish ive been eating healthy and working out kinda. whats wrong? where is my period? should i be concerned
curliecue answered Sunday June 17 2007, 2:30 pm: The reason you haven't gotten your period probably is because you are eating less. Your body is recognizing this decrease in calories (which must have happened if you lost weight) and is conserving energy. One thing it is doing is stopping your cycle, because, yes, it does burn calories. Although you are probably not anorexic or anywhere near it, I would suggest eating a little bit more every day, and it will probably come back. The condition you have is called amenorrhea, in case you want to look up more about it. I had it once, and I just ate a little more, and now it's back and I didn't gain weight- the extra calories are cancelled out by your period coming back!
