Thighs

Question Posted Friday June 15 2007, 4:03 am

14/f

I have the grossest thighs ever. They buldge over my knees and they explode out when I sit down and they have SO much fat on the inner thigh...

I'm only 20 pounds overweight, how can this be? I used to be obese, but then I lost a lot of weight and i thought i'd lose the grossness of my thighs.

What can I do about them?

by the way if it helps i'm five two and a quarter and 154 lbs. (still dieting)

You need to exercise and get your body moving. Walk or jog for a half hour every day. Start swimming. Squats are good for your thighs too. The more you start exercising, the smaller your thighs will get. Since you're young, your skin should shrink back to normal size along with your thighs.

The only way to get rid of that is to lower your body fat percentage, which essentially means losing more weight. You're doing the right thing, so don't get discouraged! Look at how far you've come, and keep going. Do prolonged cardio at a steady pace often (such as walking, jogging, swimming, biking, or dancing). Try to do this activity for an hour on most days at a comfortable effort level. You will train your body to use your fat stores. Once you've reached a normal BMI, start up the weights and lunges and resistance training. This will build muscle and tone your legs. Good luck, and just remember to never ever let up. There is no offseason. Fitness is 24/7, 365 days of the year.

you could do lunges with your legs jogging around a track running on a tred meal or walking in the park
