My friend just called one day and said, hey i have a secret. I smoke. I got really scared at started yelling at her. See, i had a health class in 7th grade, the prob, i got a failing grade cuz i was too imature to pay attention. Now, my friend smokes. I didn't offer. But i thought it looked kinda weird. So, i asked. She said no. i kept asking to try when finally she said ok. i tried it. it was gross. But she still does, i don't no how to help. any advice on how? O and i'm 13 so keep it PG-13 or PG..

no, it's definitely not your fault if you didn't offer it to her. even if you did it still wouldn't be your fault because she had a choice not to do it. anyway, you're a good friend for caring. i'm guessing since she is your best friend, you two hang out a lot.. make sure you two are always busy doing something, having fun, keeping her mind off of it. or be around adults so she can't smoke. also it wouldn't hurt to offer her gum either because thats something in her mouth so that might help her not to think about it. good luck<3

depends. do you smoke? if so, this person may be very influenced by you. i wouldn't say its 'your fault'; you just prompted him/her. if you dont smoke, however, you have nothing to worry about.

you clearly care about this person very much to be blameful on yourself, so i'd suggest talking to him/her about it and tell them how you feel. also, if you smoke as well try to quit, too. it's extremely unhealty. hope i helped
