okay so i really like this guy and i've liked him for so long and everytime i think I'm over him..im not. We wont hang out for awhile and then i think i just dont like him anymore and i really try not to like him because everytime i do it gets me no where. We've liked each other before but nothing ever happens. And then he likes one of my friends too. They had gone out before but broke up and i can tell he still likes her. I just dont know what to do because i try not to like him and i try to get over him but i just cant. I've known him for a really long time and hes the nicest person ever and i just cant NOT like him and i hate it. I dont know what i should do.

Why exactly can't you like him again? You guys never took your friendship to the next level, so why didn't it ever work out? It's hard getting over someone that you really like and no doubt, it's hard. Don't force yourself to get over him as soon as possible. It'll take time but you have to move on if there is a reason why things wouldn't work out. I know that he likes your friend, but you don't know how he truely feels about you. Meet new guys. Keep busy so you don't think about him and it'll get your mind off him. It's hard and you won't get over him quickly but he's not the only guy out there for you.
