but what is a "name" meaning and "symbol" meaning???

haha, i had to read the question again to remember what you're talking about. the "name" meaning is the unit that is .1 grams... so since a gram is the base unit, the unit that is .1 X base is deci. so decigram would be the answer. you just do the same thing for each one. and like for 10 meters, you choose which unit is 10 X base unit. that's deka (sp?), so it would be dekameters. as for the symbol meaning, it is basically the same thing, except you have the little abbreviations. so do the same thing as in the exercise before, but then change the answer to the abbreviation. like meters is m, centimeters is cm, grams are g, et cetera. i don't know all the abbreviations, but you can look them up if you want.
