i dont know about the clariol, but black color pulse does NOT show up on blonde hair. my hairs a light-mediumish blonde [depending on what section of hair & the season] and i used it to try to give myself some black streaks. i did the routine [correctly] TWICE and it barely barely showed up a tinyyy bit purpleish, that really only i could see bc i knew it was there. so yeah. just fyi about that. good luck though!

color pulse stuff takes wayyyyy longer than 10 washes to come out. It took 6 months to come out fully in my hair, and there was still residue. The second time I used it, we lessened the develop time, and it only lasted 2 days, and the color was off.
The clairol dye isn't very strong, it only lasts a little while. I didn't use black, I used purple on my LIGHT LIGHT LIGHT brown hair[normally an almost blonde color] and it just darkened it a few shades. No real color change. It washed out in less than three washes FULLY, and it didn't really have any issues.
If you truly want NON-PERMANENT color, you should try a spray... but they don't always turn out well.....
Sorry, it probably WON'T work well.
