Snorting the Perscription drug Fluoxetine
Hi, my fiend recently told me he heard about people snorting flouxetine. i was just wondering if it is safe, and what are the effects of snorting the perscription drug Prozac or Fluoxetine. Will you get a so called "high".

Snorting pills is generally a bad idea. First of all, they are bad for your nasal passages and can do serious damage to the lungs when inhaled. Many pills contain cellulose and chalk, which pass through your intestines harmlessly when taken orally, but can be very destructive if they get into the lungs since they are not water soluble. Many people experience nasal pain and VERY bloody noses when they snort prozac too.
Prozac can also cause seizures which can be increased when the pill is snorted.
On top of the potential physical damage, it's unclear that snorting crushed up pills is any more effective than taking them orally. It is believed that less of the drug is absorbed if snorted than if it were simply swallowed.
