Girl Friends

Question Posted Monday May 28 2007, 11:48 pm

I have a hard time making female friends. I try to be very friendly and outgoing with girls in my classes but idle chit chat never turns into friendships. I can make friends with guys really easily... girls are another story. How can I make female friends?

The best way to make friends with anyone, especially females, is to make things interesting. Talk about stuff you know a lot about so the conversation doesn't get dry, be funny (joke around with them and make them laugh-most girls say the number 1 thing that attracts them to a person is their ability to make them smile or laugh). Don't be too eager or pushy when you're first making friends-don't try to hard. If you just keep a conversation going then you'll make female friends. When a conversation ends (you have to leave or she/they have to) let them know you want to continue it later. Invite them out with a group of friends, maybe to a movie or to lunch to get to know them.
