I have never straightened my hair before, and it's perfectly straight...but sometimes it's wavy...and I know this doesn't make a lot of sense, but I want to straighten it for the last day of school just for fun. Anyways, I don't own a straightener, but I want to get one over the weekend for $20-30, if that's possible. I have no idea which one to get, so if anyone could tell me some good options and where to get them, that would be great.

My hair is straight also, and i've never used a hair straightener since my hair is perfectly straight, but my friends do, and they got it for like $30. However they can damage your hair, if they're really cheap. I suggest getting one a little more pricey, that has ceramic plates. Ceramic plates help to not burn your hair. You can get $25 ceramic plated- ones, but those don't work well. If you want a good hair straightener, get one that's about around $40-75. Go to a good hair-care place. =].
But if there isn't one you know of, go to walgreens or albertsons, or longs, and get a pricey ones. Don't get the cheap ones. Make sure they have ceramic plates.
