lunges

Question Posted Tuesday May 22 2007, 2:48 pm

What's a good amount of lunges to do? I don't want to do too little. If I did reps of 25/30?

It depends on what you are going for. If you want to increase size, I'd recommend putting on heavy weight, and doing 4 sets of 5 reps each. Set the weight so the last set is very difficult to do, and the last 2 reps of the last set feel extremely difficult.

If you don't want size and just want strength, I'd recommend 4 sets of 12 reps with weight. Once again, set it so the last set is difficult.

Reps of 25/30 won't do much unless if you're trying to lose fat on your legs. If you want strength, do what i mentioned above.

Other leg exercises you can try are squats, leg press, calf raisers, stairs, etc..
