Thickening my hair.

I have a very thin head of hair. I'd prefer to straighten my hair, but the problem is that my hair has no thickness at all, so the ends don't stay straight and it's really starting to become a bother. Are there any household products that will thicken my hair? If you do suggest something: please send me a google link to support your advice.

i mix sweet n low with my shampoo the first time then shampoo again. i don't have any links to prove it but it worked on my hair.
