what works better? straighteners with ceramic plates or those brush ones? my hair is pretty thick and curls up at the front, the rest is wavy. i would just like to know what you think would work better?. thanks in advance.
ceramic plates, definitely. do not even bother with the brush ones UNLESS you have close to straight hair (like you only need to straighten for 5 minutes like me). i'm of asian origin, indian to be precise, so i have pretty straight hair but i hate those huge waves you get when you wake up, you know? so i just straighten at night and go to sleep and don't even have to straighten in the morning. however, i always found the brush ones to be pretty ineffective. so yeah. don't even bother with them, sweetie. save your money. just invest in a regular straightener. buy a chi. not conair or some cheap $50 one. chis are expensive - $120, but hey, so worth it, babe. esp if you have SUPER curly hair. my friend, she has really thick curls and it took around 15 - 20 minutes to straighten her WHOLE head. and she didn't even shower (cause after you shower, your hair is naturally straightner) before she came to my house. so yeah.
