Country Singing

Question Posted Wednesday May 9 2007, 7:40 pm

I am a singer, & want to sing amazing grace for an assembly at school.

I love LeAnn Rymes' version of this song. She has a beautiful country twang to her voice.

My question is, how do you get that country twang?

its a natural twang...don't try to fake it...thats what makes her version so original...just sing it with your own voice...don't try to mock someone else's...the twang comes naturally...you've either got it or you don't so work what you've got and make it good for you...not for her

i'm from texas, so i've got a country twang. it's just something that comes natural. if you want to add a twang to your voice i suggest you practice it so it becomes natural and so it doesn't sound cheezy. good luck!
