ugh hair curler wont work

i just got a new and good hair curler but it makes my hair like one big curve... ugh how do i get it to make my hair loose waves like marykate and ashley's hair???

okay after you make those big curls in your hair and are all done, then take the curls and pull your hair apart. it will come up as really cute pretty loose curls.

One problem could be that the barrel is too big. 3/4 to 1 inch barrel is a good width, unless your hair is really short. Then it wouldn't do much.

Also it could be that you aren't giving it enough time to curl. Either leave it on there longer, or try curling a smaller section at a time.

If that doesn't work, either your hair type refuses curls or the curling iron really isn't that good.
