has anyone ever heard of it? its where u get like more money on a certain game.. does anyone know if theyll find out? because my friends want to do it for this game i play.. but im not sure about it.
It sounds like you are planning on using this on some sort of RPG am i right? Something like World of Warcraft? I know that Blizzard would check accounts in the past. In the Diablo days (I dont play either, but I have friends who do) accounts would be regularly deleted when cheat items etc would be discovered.
Personally I think cheating in a game where other humans are involved (directly or indirectly) is really really lame. There, thats my opinion, you dont have to pay attention to it.
If you do want to cheat, you should investigate the rules of the gaming company that makes your game. Usually they should have a pretty clear cheater policy (For Steam and counter strike for example, your account gets banned and you need to get a new CD key).
As for the risk, that varies from cheat to cheat, and from game to game. However, there is always the chance of getting caught. If you really care about your account/ character/ etc. I would refrain from doing it. Its also possible for them to discover this at some point in the future, and to suffer the consequences then.
Edit: I had a look specifically for cheat engine (first I thought you were refering to a general thing, then I realised that it was specific hack). Seems like there are some mixed feelings from what I can see on the forums. From what I gather the chances to get caught are slim, but they do warn against it. So the risk is there.
