Okay well..Im a 16/f, but really has nothing to do with my question. Well I have liked this guy for about 2 years now.. and hes a 2 years older then me. and we always go on and off with our relationship. but we've never been offical! we've fooled around a stuff, which was my first time for all that. and then he tell me that he can't stand being with me cause our personalitys clash. or something like that. and now im having a really hard time getting over him, cause he really ment alot to me. and i really like (( well liked him )), and i jus wanna know the best way to get him off my mind. I mean hes gonna be graduating soon, which will help.. but i need to know now! we're still friends and talk and stuff.. but its jus so hard for me.. and then another way to make it worse is he's going to prom with one of my friends.. well kinda my friend, and im having the hardest time with this.. so please help me! i really need it! Yes, it isn't the best thing for a friendship, but if you are friends with him, talking to him will probably help you like him. You don't want that, so you should probably stay away for now. Explain this to him though. Don't blow him off & ignore him without an explanation. Just flat out say that you cannot be friends with him for previous reasons such as you having a crush on him. If he doesn't know that, then just say it's a personal thing. You should date around. Take someone to prom/ask on a date & see what happens. If you are dating other guys, they'll keep your attention & you won't pay as much attention to him anymore.
