boyfriend, school, not talking, breaking up

Question Posted Wednesday April 11 2007, 5:17 pm

okay well me and my boyfriend (both 13 but he's in 8th grade and i'm in 7th) but we go to the same school. this is our 7th time going out in like 2 years. the last time we broke up, i broke up with him because we didn't talk at school at all. and barely online, and never on the phone or anything. that was back in october and we got back together in march this year. he was great to me. always calling and texting me, always askign to hang out and staying up late on line or on the phone with me, skipping games of poker and stuff to be with me, taking me with him to his grandmother's to meet all his aunts and uncles and grandparents and cousins and everyone and most of them live on the other side of the US. it was great. he always talked to me at school, and sat with me at lunch, and break and came to find me in the halls before classes and gave me hugs and stuff. and even before we started going out, late at night when we'd be on the phone, and i'd ask to go to bed, he would be like " you don't have to say this back, but i love you so much" and stuff. and it made me really happy. but last weeek we got report cards and his parents are really nice and stuff but are pretty strict and he got everything like 96 and 93 and stuff except one class he got a 66 and now he's grounded til next report cards. he's not allowed on the phone, texting, computer, biking, hanging out or anything. and now, he doesn't talk to me barely at school. like once a day. and he always sits with these other girls that he's really good friends with ( it doesn't bother me though because i'm best friends with one of them's little brothers and stuff and they are nice to me and seem to like me so it doesn't bother me ) but he doesn't talk to me which does. he knows the only time we can talk is at school but he doesn't use that it seems. i want to break up with him and kind of show him what i think and stuff. i mean, yes i love him so much ( you may not think so, but i do) i want to be nice about it and stuff and kinda just let him know that i want to date and stuff, but its hard when we don't even tallk. how can i do this? i apologize for this being so long. any advice is very much appreciated. thanks!

Give it one or two more weeks, and if it doesn't get better break up with him. Find a time during school like at lunch or right after school if you have time, but make sure it's a time when you'll have enough time to talk to him about why and stuff. Then just tell him kindly that you really like being around him, and you love him, but that you want to actually be able to talk to him. If he understands, that's great; if he doesn't, consider taking a break until you think your relationship might have a better chance of working. Good luck!
