Should I not be trying to lose weight and if not then how

Hi, first I want to say thanks for reading my question. :) I'm thinking about losing weight,because I feel like I need to. I'm about 5'7 and I weight 138 pounds. I was telling my friend that I need to lose weight and she was telling me that i dont need to, because I'm so skinny. I'm really not that skinny, I'm just skinny compared to her. I have this plan to go jogging around the neighborhood in a lot of layers so I can sweat alot, but will I just gain all of the weight I lose right back, in a bite of a sandwich ? lol. I need to work on my stomach the most I think, its not that bad though. I watched true life on mtv a while back and this guy had to stay fit for wrestling and he would run on the tredmill in a lot of layers and in 30 minutes he already lost 3 pounds. So i was thinking if I were to lose the same about he did in the same time then I could run for 2 hours (30,30,30,30) so I would lose 12 pounds. Would 12 pounds be too much for me to lose ? I dont want to look anorexic or anything. Also I read that your a cheerleader and next year I want to try out for cheerleading in highschool, I'm in 8th grade right now. If you dont mind answering this too, what is cheerleading like when it comes to staying in shape and practice ? Also, I've never cheerleaded before, I can't even do a split, lol. Over the summer I really want to practice though. My mom was a really good cheerleader in her highschool days and she was involved in a lot of things, and I havent done anything yet. I just dont want to be some boring girl in highschool. So my questions are, how much weight should I lose and how? Also, about the cheerleading. i really dont think 12 lbs would hurt you..
btu since you are skiny
[you probaly are, judging by ur weight and height]
try building muscle in your stomache..
rather than loosing lbs.
running always
helps..
but you have to change your eating sytle too.
your body will go thruogh a lot of changes..
this summer probably
so don't be too worried.
make it a habbit to do so many cruncehs an ngiht..
and sits up
and such..
make give up alllljunk, fast food, pop, etc..
one or two days out o the week..
alright, back to the cheerleading thing..
