Hi!
Yea, so I'm doing a persuasive, three to five page report on why Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky (the composer of the Nut Cracker) should be in a hall of fame. I've got all my facts.. but I really don't know why he should be in..
cheburashka answered Friday April 6 2007, 10:00 pm: well lets see, he wrote amazing music that is now listened to all over the world, so in a way it's unifying people everywhere. i think if millions of people are able enjoy his music, that's saying something. through him other people can get a certain aspect of the russian culture, and that's pretty cool.
also, he was a gay russian composer. not only did life suck really bad for him to begin simply because he wasn't really into ladies, but he was forced to commit suicide because of that (if you've really got all your facts, you should know that). so he was an innocent victim of social injustice in this world, one with am amazing talent. i think that's something too.
