aim mail

Question Posted Saturday March 31 2007, 8:50 am

hey

you know how on aim mail, the email address shows up
from the sender instead of the sender's name which you
set up in your addressbook? it's really annoying. like if someone doesnt email you that often and you dont
have their email address memorized, you have to go &
look it up in your addressbook.

question: does anyone know how to replace the sen-
der's email address with the sender's nickname or name
in the inbox of aim mail?

That does seem quite annoying & i have aim mail myself so I looked it up. I tried different things & you can't just make it so you can see their nickname. I found an easier way though. Go into your inbox & look at the bottom at the left side. There's a few tabs that say Mail, Addresses, Calender, and Tasks. Stay in your inbox & just click the one that says Addresses. A list of your addresses [& their names or nicknames] will come up with your inbox still open, so you can easily match it up. If you have already been doing this, sorry there is not another way. I would suggest emailing them through AIM.com & suggesting it though. That would definately be a cool feature.

-hope that helped!♥
