my ex boyfriend might want me back

Question Posted Monday March 26 2007, 12:32 pm

Hi, my name is Jen and I am 19. I thought you might be able to just give me some advice... my ex boyfriend broke up with me on the 2nd and this past Friday I stopped by his house to pick up the rest of my stuff. Later that night I got a message from him saying that he misses me a lot and still loves me a lot and would like to see me and talk when I get back from vacation. I'm not sure what to do, I didn't expect him to come back at all. We had been going out for a year but he broke up with me when we hit the 6 month mark and then went back out obviously for another 6 months. He wishes that we got along better because he loves me, but he wants his guy time and sometimes I feel that I am just there in the relationship for when he is bored or lonely. I think he needs to grow up because that’s not what relationships are for, but also I think he is scared that we were getting serious. Whenever we got in a fight, we didn't solve it that night he just expected everything to be ok in the morning. I don't know how to get it through his head that communication is everything, and that he needs that to have a good relationship. But when we did break up this month he ignored me and told me he had to or else he would have wanted me back right away. Which is understandable I guess. But I just don't want him to be playing a game with me and saying he wants me back when he really doesn't, he might just want me to be there just in case. I don't know though I am just confused, I haven’t sat down and talked to him yet. So if you could help me that would be great. I realize this question might be hard to understand but there is just too much to explain

hey, well i totally agree with you. you wouldnt want to get into a relationship with him again if your just going to be his "fall back girl". i think that if you still like him and have strong feelings for him that you should talk to him. tell him that he needs to mature a little bit more and decides what he really wants out of your relationship. if he seems indecisive or taking it lightly or just laughing it off, dont go for it. if he seems serious about it and seems like he really cares about you and will try to be more mature and take the relationship seriously, then go for it.
