Ok, so i dont know if this should be in this category or friendship. This story could go on forever, but I will try to keep it short.
So, there is this guy and I had a huge crush on him for like 5 years. Now Im in eighth grade and I try to not like him anymore like that, because he resently went out with my best friend. But he broke up with her. Its obvious that she still likes him, and she gets upset when ever he flirts with other girls. So now basically me and the guy are good friends. So, I still flirt with the guy a lot. Its really hard not to, I mean he is the hottest most popular guy in the grade. But now the problem, there is a dance coming up. I have always dreamed of slow dancing with him. All of my life I hoped that we would be together, but since he has gone out with my best friend everything has been really awkward. I don't think that he likes me the way that I like him, and its better that way because my best friend would flip if she knew that I liked him. So back to the dance I would give anything to dance with him, and I have thought about asking him before the dance if he could save a dance for me. My excuse for dancing with him would be that he is leaving my school next year, and I wont see him much after that, and I really wanted just one dance to say goodbye. But I dont know if its a good idea because my best friend would probably not talk to me anymore, or be wicked upset. But I think that I am in love with this guy I can't get him off my mind. So I would love opinions on what I should do. And say to him?? thanks sooo soo much : )
For the dance, if you have a DJ, you can ask to play this game (i forget what its called but I wanna say Slow Switch)
Basically everyone grabs a partner, and for like 30 seconds or less probably, you dance with a guy and than the DJ will call it out and everyone switches. It makes slow dancing fun and easy for everyone, and I know I had fun when I did it. Or you can just ask him! Everyone dances with their friends at dances, its a dance, nothing to be shy about. Make sure your friend knows that as well.
