Hi,im in the 7th grade. I have been taken away from my mother 3 times for abuse. The most recent time DSS said i cant go back with my mother. They are also sending me to alaska(i live in south carolina and have all my life). i cried everyday since november 2nd (well until feb 14 when i met this guy) but he recently has gone away also. I have been taken away from everything i know and low including my family and friends. How do i survive without having a mental breakdown at least once a week?

You get to go to a new place and get a fresh start. You're going to meet a bunch of new people, make new friends, and have wonderful new experiences. And, yes, you'll miss your family and friends in south carolina, but it's nothing a phone call and letters can't help. Just because you are moving does not mean you cannot talk to them anymore. I am so sorry that this has happened to you. I truly hope things work out. Best of luck. [ sugarplum07's advice column | Ask sugarplum07 A Question ]
