Question Posted Saturday March 17 2007, 12:26 am

okay, so prom is only a few months away and i have no idea what dress to look for. i know what dresses i like...but i have no clue for which styles to look for for me. okay so im 5'4', have pale skin, dark hair, pretty skinny(naturally that way) and kinda flat. any ideas for what kinda dress i should wear? what colours? shape? what would be flattering to me? any piece of information would be helpful! thank you so much!

i would go with a light pastle color. and often pastles are good for prom anyway because its spring. and im really short, 5'0". so i go with knee length dresses. i wouldnt go with a hatler. halters are meant for girls who are bigger chested than myself and you. so go with strapless or a sweetheart cut. jessicamcclintock.com has great dresses that arent very long. :]

i think for you, a pale yellow is a good dress!! i have seen them in mags. they just look so pretty!or maybe a light pink, but try to get a lighter color since of your skin and what not. if i were you i would def. not get a short dress. i would get a ballgown (well not xactly that size but close) just buy some cute mags(magazines) for prom. they have a lot of ideas for dresses/hair/makeup and much more!!!
hope our advice helps C&L=)

I would go for a lighter color, since you are pale. and maybe if you get one that goes around your neck then you wouldnt have to worry about it slipping down since you said you were kindof flat, and you wont have to worry with straps falling off of your sholders.

i hope i helped! send anything else to my inbox!

I think you should, with your body type and figure, try looking for a slim dress that fits your body(slim and sleek). If your flat try using a push up bra to help hold your dress up. Colors for your skin and hair color would probably be brown, tan or light pink. Using black or really dark colors can make you look REALLY pale. But do whatever you think looks great. you should wear something you feel looks best.=D

Hope I helped.
