i have a silver motorola razor phone that i got about two weeks ago. the first day i recieved the phone, the video taker on the phone worked. yesterday i tried it and it took fine as well. today i tried to take a video and it says UNABLE TO RECORD MOVIE. i know the gallery isn't full...there's none saved. i've taken good care of it and barely touched it really because i have to get my plan taken care of at my phone company and everything. The only thing i can think of that is different today is that i may have pushed a button and now on the botton left screen thrtr is a picture of a bell crossed out and an alarm clock next to it. i do not have any alarms on. i can still take pictures though.
Open your phone. On the left hand side, there's two buttons, probably silver. Like, on the edge. If you haven't noticed them, its likely you pressed them by accident. The little one on the top turns on speakerphone. It's awesome, try it sometime haha.
The bigger one changes the volume/ringer settings. It goes up and down. Press the upper part (you'll get used to how it works in about two seconds) until the screen says "low" (or however loud you want the ringer to be). It'll make the icon disappear and may also be why you cannot record videos (because there's no sound).
Check how much memory is free on your phone. To do this, go to Menu -> Settings & Tools -> 5. System -> 2. Device Info -> Storage Devices ->Phone. You could be low on memory, whether it be from sound files, contacts, or regular pictures. Either way, don't fret. You can get microSD cards to add more memory to the phone. Buy one someplace besides the phone company if you can, because they're just going to screw you over and charge you wayyyyyyy too much.
If your videos still don't work, you may have to make it back to the store. The phone should still be under warranty, especially if it's only been two weeks and the water damage dot isn't red.
If you have Verizon, dial *228. and press #2. It won't make your videos work better, but you'll get better reception & signals. Might also help your phone be "faster" since RAZRs are known for their slow-ness.
