okay so a couple of months ago i was taking out my tampon (i have been wearing them for about a year now) and i had a lot of trouble. im pretty tight so taking them out always was associated with a tiny bit of pain, but hardly any usually. bu this time was different. it hurt terribly!!! i was in tears it hurt so bad. well, of course, i wanted to look to see what the problem was. it was like the tampon was coming out in the right direction, just, it was hooked on a peice of skin. and now, it does it EVERY SINGLE TIME i put in tampon. its making me CRAZY?!?!!!?anyways, i told my mom, and she thinks it maybe a septate hymen, but what do you think? my mom said i could go to the gyno a get it cut if it bothers me that bad? has anybody been through the surgery or know anything about it? thanks in advance...
okay, well i know my describtion (sp?) wasnt to great, so i made a (kinda retarded) diagram. maybe it will help. keep in mind.... I AM NO ARTIST! (:
phatdopelove answered Monday March 12 2007, 3:59 pm: From your description, it could be one of a number of parts of the vulva. If it is located above vaginal opening and the clitoris, it could be the clitoral hood, which covers and protects the clitoris. Or it could be part of your inner labia. Or it could be a skin tag — the growth of tissue that has been cut or torn. Or, if it is located within the vaginal opening, it might your hymen, which might be partially torn.
I don't think it's a seperate hymen, and I don't think you have to have surgery, Hope this helps. [ phatdopelove's advice column | Ask phatdopelove A Question ]
