Hitting a split

im 13/f i really want to be a cheerleader, but the thing about it is you haev to hit a split i dont know how, but whats the best thing for me to do. Like when i start it legs start to hurt. but when i see people do it, it looks like their vagina tears but whats the best thing for me to do, to do a split?

stretch every day. im not a cheerleader but i can almost do a split. sit on the floor and put one leg straight out in front of you and then bend the other one and pull it back as far as you can go so it just starts to hurt and hold it there for about 20second then switch legs. keep doing this everyday and really stretch your legs out. im not sure how long this will take you, it depends on how flexible you already are.
