Another thing you could try is an oil absorbant face wash. I personally use Neutrogena Oil Reducing wash and it's AMAZING. There are many different brands you can try until you find one that is best for you.

And here's how I do it.
Get water warm [to open up pores]
Splash face with warm water.
Soap face [normal soap] with warm water.
Rinse face with warm water.
Apply clean & clear with warm water.
Scrub with hands with warm water.
