Self taught guitar players
I'd like to learn how to play the guitar,but I'm determined to be self taught.I don't want any lessons or anything.How do you do it thought?What are some practicing methods and what not to get me started?

I taught myself and it's a bit more difficult than it sounds.
I bought a starter kit, I think it's Fender, if I'm not mistaken. I bought it for about $100. It was an acoustic and it came with a book of basic chords and a few easy songs to help you learn.
I would have to say that if you do go through with this, be patient, give it some time. It won't happen overnight. You should probably practice about everyday if possible when first starting out because your fingers need to callus over so that it won;t hurt to play. Thats about all you need to know really.

It takes practice and a lot of patients.
learn the basic chords then learn the more difficult chords, like bar chords
