does anyone know any free movie makers i could download to make a slideshow that will actually upload to youtube??

Windows Move Maker comes free with Windows, so it's got convenience going for it... But I don't like it at all. My personal favorite is called Adobe Premiere, and you can get a free 30 day trial here:

You could use windows movie maker.
