i like this boy a lot, who i know really well. he's dating another girl who i am friends with. if they break up(which is going to be soon), can i ask him out. would that be mean to the girl?

hey, well how good of friends are you with this girl? if were taking best friends and he breaks up with her and shes not over him, then that would be mean/rude to ask him out. you should have a talk with this girl. tell her that you like him and that your thinking about asking him out and you were wondering if she would be okay with that. you should even do this if she broke up with him because its just curtious. if she says that shes not okay with it, i wouldnt make a move.
