Today is the last day I can call my youth pastor to tell him that I want to go on this trip that the chruch is having. The problem is, my father has a tendency to say NO to everything and he constantly tells me I don't deserve these things. Another hurdle, I have a problem with speaking with people with my fear of rejection. Now, I've been doing my chores, I have good grades, and I've been an all around good teenager. How can/should I ask him?
I would just be like,"Now dad, you know I get good grades, I've been doing all my chores, I'm responsible. Now the Church is having this trip that I really want to go on. Now today is the last day that I can call the Youth Pastor and let him know if I can go or not, so please, can I go? It's not like anything bad is going to happen since it IS a church trip, and there's going to be adult supervision and everything." And just give him all the details on where you're going, and what you guys are doing.

Explain to him nothing bad will happen and it's obviously a good trip, since it's through the church. Also, what you'll be doing there and maybe why you want to go. Just be polite about it, and hopefully he'll say yes. [ partychick101's advice column | Ask partychick101 A Question ]
