hey, well recently ive been experiencing blood in my underwear. this is about day 5 of it. no, its not my first period. that already happened for me. its not enough blood to be a regular monthly period, plus i already had that this month. i know that girls periods are irregular, but trust me, ive gotten my period two times in a month before and its nothing as little as this. im aware that you bleed from sex (im not sure how many days after it keeps bleeding), but im pretty sure that im a virgin unless i got raped in my sleep or something. the first day that this started i hadnt seen my boyfriend in about 4 days (i was in trouble). so im just wondering what are you advicenators imputs on this?
Additional info, added Friday February 16 2007, 1:38 pm: also i can almost feel when its coming out or like if i wake up, i can automatically know thats in in my underwear. also i just noticed that it mixes in with my drainage and its sorta googey and clumpy. it smells normal tho. sorry if this is gross but i need to know what is wrong with me. doctors/gyno isnt really an option. . Melody answered Friday February 16 2007, 4:36 pm: If it smells normal then you shouldn't worry. After a girl's period, she spots. That's probably what your experiencing. Even if it is light though, I reccommend wearing a light pad, or pantiliner depeding on how heavy your flow is. [ Melody's advice column | Ask Melody A Question ]
PunkieFreak4690 answered Friday February 16 2007, 3:47 pm: I get the same thing as well, and when I spoke to my Gynecologist, she said it's normal. It seems to me it's just spotting. Spotting can occur in any situation, at any time, no matter who you are. It some times means you are about to start your period again soon, or just got off, but a little came out after. And some times it's necessarily not related to your period. Spotting may happen if you are stressed out, and the lining in your uterus is messing up. Some times it happens when you take certain drugs. Birth Control, mainly. But either way, it's normal.
You can always use a pantiliner when you are off of your period, and you can use vaginal powder (Vagisal®), to block odor or to absorb some spotting and discharge to make you feel clean.
But if you are seeing heavy spotting, that could mean something completely different. I know you said no Doctor or Gynecologist for this, but if your spotting ever gets heavier, or you see suspicion of irregular spotting (like clumped up blood), really see a Doctor because that could be something serious. AuntieEm answered Friday February 16 2007, 3:05 pm: it's probally just spotting; but then again im not a doctor...
for now just use panty-liners for the little spotting if you say it's not enough for period bleeding...
as for the doctor...
you say it's not an option? but you should really try hard to see one if it keeps going on for too long
if your rents dont want to take you explain you are a virgin and are just nervous about what is going on... [ AuntieEm's advice column | Ask AuntieEm A Question ]
