.) You need to set up an eBay account. I'm not sure if setting up an account costs money or not. It might, it may be a very small amount. I don't think it does though.
.) Yes, you need to put a credit card number in, I'm pretty sure. But eBay is very reliable and trusted and would never give it out. You will also probably need to set up a PayPal account, so that people can pay you directly.
.) There are many different ways people can pay you on eBay. People can send you checks, cash, money orders, or they can pay you directly through a paypal account. Paypal account information can be found at PayPal.com.
.) For every item you list, eBay charges money for the listing. Let's say you want to sell a shirt. You have to create a page about the shirt. You can put pictures of the shirt up, and write about what the shirt looks like. Make sure to include if the shirt is coming from a house that you smoke in, or if you have any pets. I do have pets, but I say that I don't since they are very clean and are never near my items. The page that you create about the shirt you're selling, is called a listing. Listings come with cute backgrounds that you can choose. I'm pretty sure eBay charges maybe 5 cents per listing. If you know alot of web design, you can make your own background and not have to pay eBay for the background. (Trust me, how your listing looks REALLY does matter. People are more likely to buy from you if your page looks nice, colorful, filled with pictures, and descriptions.)
.) It's hard to sell right away on ebay. People like to buy from people who have been selling on ebay for a long time and really know what they're doing. But don't worry, you'll get the hang of it. I'm sorry I can't tell you more, but I'm sure that on the ebay website, there is a page with Frequently Asked Questions and Information about the site. There's also many forums/groups of eBay sellers that can help you out too. :] [ twistedsister17's advice column | Ask twistedsister17 A Question ]
