When you're about to wear your acne medication, SHOULD you wash your face before you put it on? Should you use hot water or cold water? because hot water will open it up so that if i put the medicine it'll like get rid of the pimple and make it go away right? but maybe if i use cold water and the pimple is already closed, then with the medicine it'll go away faster

Also, you should wash your face with the cleanser with warm water (opens pores), and when you are done, rinse with cold water (closes pores), then you put the medication on. It keeps pores closed, and the medication prevents pimples from forming anyway. Just make sure you use warm then cold, because if you just use warm your face can be more susceptible to oil and bacteria. Using warm then cold works more effectively when treating and preventing acne. [ PunkieFreak4690's advice column | Ask PunkieFreak4690 A Question ]
