The song needs to be located on your computer. In other words, it is listed on iTunes, but does not have the proper directory. To fix this, right click on one of those songs, click get file, and manually search for the song within your computer. This should solve it. Hope that helped.

I've had this problem before. First, you have to think about where you got the songs from. If you got them from someone elses iPod, they will most likely have the "!" next to them. All this means is that the song you have choosen can not be played because its original source could not be found. You can not play the song if it was transferred from someone elses iPod. If you transferred it from a CD, I really don't know what to tell you. It's always worked for me. But if you still want the songs that have a "!" next to them, the best thing to do is to get them off Limewire and put them in your library. This is what I do all the time so I don't have to buy my songs and CD's.
Hope I helped!
