Question Posted Wednesday January 24 2007, 6:21 pm
my boyfriend and i have been going out for 3 months now, and at first it was great. we talked all the time on the phone and whenever we could we hungout for up to 9 hours a day.. but lately we've just plain run out of things to say it seems like. he still calls, but only right before he goes to bed and theres nevermuch to say so they're only lik 10 minutes long, when they used to be hours and hours.. its better when we're at eachother's houses or something, but especially at school, its kind of awkward... i dont know what to do & i think we might break up. how do i make it less awkward and keep him talking?
You have to base your relationship on the
things you do and don't have incommon. Take
time to try things they like to do, that you
might not normally do. Spice things up by
trying new things together, create new
memories. The things you have in common will
act as your 'foundation' for the relationship.
When you run out of things to talk about,
bring up anything random. You could be like
"Have you ever wondered why the sky is blue?"
A simple, outreagous question like that
can spark the most amazing conversations. Try
to talk about meaningful things, (ie: religion,
views on politics, love, etc) This will
also help you two make deeper connections
that will keep your relationship alive.
