explorer.exe Wow I wish Dangernerd were here...
I have Dell XPS PC and I'm operating Windows XP Home edition. I've spent the last week rooting out viruses and adware and spyware from my computer. Now I have a new problem.
explorer.exe does not start up. After typing in my password at the login screen, I get a delay of about two minutes. Then my background appears. Thats it. So my icons, menu, and everything else isn't there. I have to manually run explorer.exe from the windows task manager, and it's a pain.
Any ideas? I've tried setting things straight on msconfig, but no luck. I'm really desperate.

-put a shortcut to explorer.exe(located in C:windows) in C:documents and settingsyour user namestart menuprogramsstartup if that doesn't work,
-download this batch file I made:

It will open explorer.exe after a ten-second delay. Put it in your startup folder, as described above. If that doesn't work,
-go to msconfig and select the radio button "diagnostic startup"
-If none of those work, try
