fat

Question Posted Tuesday January 23 2007, 6:15 pm

Can you really be skinny or burn off fat other than surgery? Because I'm just wondering..wouldn't you be skinney but then you'd have skin sagging out after your workout because your skin was stretched when you're fat? if not, then how?

True, that can be a problem, but only if you were morbid obese and i mean like maybe (200-400) depending on your height, however with no exercise it is likely that your skin will not be toned. I have, however, only seen adults whose skin did not go back after weight loss, so if you are young and growing dont stress about it. Just lose the weight and work out along the way and just like someone said below me. Having lots of skin is still better than being morbid obese. Just lose the weight carefully if you are talking about yourself or someone you know. Otherwize, I hope this answered your question!

Pinch the skin on the back of your hand.

No, seriously, do it. Then let it go and watch what happens--it sinks back into place.

Skin is stretchy, especially when we're younger. If you exercise along with weight loss, chances are you'll be fine.

And even if you have saggy skin, well, it's still healthier than being overweight.

But skin is a living organism--the largest on the body. It adapts.
