1) Don't shave that area every day! You'll irritate the skin, and you will get red, itchy bumps (it's very horrible from my experience).
2) And even when you do shave it every other day (maybe every 2 or 3 days), apply aloe vera on it (the same stuff you use for sunburn) and Hydrocortisone cream which decreases inflammation (the redness and itchiness)
3) Shave with the hair; not against it. I am saying this because it's important, whether you knew that or not.. but as a note with this it's important you do so because going against it is what causes those red bumps.
4) Use name brand shaving gel. Not generic. It is cheaper, but it is not as rich and creamy as the name brand is (Skintimate is a good name brand shaving cream). And when you have the generic brand, it comes out thin, which means less shaving protection from cuts, and burns.
5) And just like I said in #1, keep it to a minimum and apply that aloe and hydrocortisone cream on 2-3 times a day, so you can relieve the itching you will first get during the day.
6) And before you shave it. Trim it first. Doing this can make shaving easier. This saves trouble from shaving long hair, and you can see what you are doing so you don't cut yourself.

I would recommend using shaving cream [make sure you wash it out thoroughly after] & a good razor, not some cheap disposable one. I like using Venus or even better, Intuition. [ XxSunshinexX's advice column | Ask XxSunshinexX A Question ]
