If Chlamydia is left untreated over a long period of time, it can lead to Pelvic Inflammatory Disease.

PIV is an infection of the reproductive organs and can lead to infertility. This can happen by scarring, which can block the fallopean tubes.

If you have been diagnosed with a recent case of Chlamydia and have been treated, chances are you will not suffer any long term effects. Of course, you'll want to make sure you protect yourself in future.

There are no guarantees about fertility in any case, and your doctor will be able to give you more detailed info based on your specific case.

I wish you the best.
