Do I dump him or not?

I'm going out with this guy and hes nice and all but I don't love him I only like him as a friend. I want to dump him but I'm to afraid if I do he'll tell everyone this horrible secret I told and trusted him with and this is a family secret. I really want to dump him because I really like this other guy and I think he likes me back. But the guy I like is my brother's friend who's one year older! What do I do? How do I make my boyfriend not tell anyone my secret? And how do I go out with the guy I like without making things with my brother and all??

okay as for your bf, talk to him, tell him things just arnt working out, and that you'd like to be his friend, and that you still trust him with the secret and would like if he didnt tell anyone.
and for your brothers friend, maybe next time you see him with your brother talk to him a little, flirt with him, compliment him. smile at him, see if he smiles or looks back.

The only thing you can do is be honest with him. tell him that you aren't sure if you feel the same way as him. i've just had to do it and it was hard but he accepted it - eventually. as i dont know him i dont know if he would tell your secret but if you know the relationship is wrong you just have to do it. take that risk, as hard as it is. hopefully he wont say anything but there really isn't anything you can do except get a juicy secret of his and threaten to tell it if he tells yours, i think it's a bit childish but if it works, who cares? try to stay friends if possible.
