The pill

Question Posted Saturday January 6 2007, 2:00 pm

Ok, I'm 15 (16 very soon) and i am on the pill. I messed it up loads ages ago because i forgot to take it and then i started again etc. In the end, i stopped taking it for a couple months, and then started again. when i messed it up i kept bleeding for like, 2 weeks, when i was talking it. And i rarely had periods on my breaks.

I havent had a period in 3 months. I always use a condom and i havent forgotton to take my pill once in the last 4 months. Do you think what happened ages ago messed up my body? I WANT KIDS WHEN IM OLDER! lol.

If it helps, i've been on the pill for 3 years and its called Microgynon 30. Thanks xx

Rule #1 when taking birth control pills- when you screw up and don't take for a few days, you need to call your doctor. They will likely want you to come in for a check up.
I strongly advise you do that asap if you haven't already. You need a professional opinion from a doctor on this.

You're probably fine. Hormones are what make birth control work. When you stop taking them, then start taking them, and screwing around with it, your hormones will get a little screwy too and you'll become irregular.

I'd check with your gynocologist
